Melvin's - Houma

Upon our arrival, we were thrilled to discover that our ceremony took place in the sunken garden, just as we had envisioned—truly magical in its design and decor. The private reception area was elegant and perfectly suited for our gathering. The quality of the food was outstanding; our guests enjoyed either steak or fish, accompanied by fantastic drinks. Everyone commented on the delicious cuisine, especially a 96-year-old guest who is known to be quite particular. The service during our reception was nothing short of five stars. The staff was considerate, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant—qualities that truly enhanced our experience. Thank you, Karla, and a huge thank you to Melvin's for creating such a magical memory for our special day. We were not disappointed, and we look back fondly on our time spent at Melvin's.

The flounder was amazing! It was my first time ordering it, and I'm so glad the staff recommended it. The meal concluded with a delightful cheesecake. Everyone hopes for the best from a Louisiana kitchen, but that isn’t always the case.

The staff was very courteous and made an effort to ensure we had a great experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Melvins is a restaurant that i enjoy going to for a lovely place and good food. The service is always very nice. I had the oyster spaghetti and my husband had the chicken Alfredo. They weren't skimpy on the oysters.

Been here before. We had the lunch special. Shrimp pasta salad. Only had exactly was it said shrimp and pasta. Kind of bland. Maybe I’m just use to a lot of other stuff like black olives and artichokes. Service was great. I will give it another try since all we had was the salad. It’s not on the main roads so need GPS to find.
