Big Smoke Taphouse Kitchen - HOUNSLOW

This is a fantastic restaurant with amazing staff, especially Godfery at Heathrow Terminal 2.

The restaurant provided an allergy menu and took my allergy very seriously, which I appreciated. However, the choices were somewhat limited. I ended up ordering a cheeseburger with gluten-free bread instead of the regular bun. The fries weren't gluten-free, so they kindly offered me broccoli as an alternative.

The staff wasn't very welcoming. The waiter who seated us did not greet us or respond to my question about allergies before simply walking away. Fortunately, I managed to enjoy a meal without any issues after catching the attention of another staff member. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and a side of mashed potatoes. I appreciated that the staff made it clear that cross-contamination could be an issue before I placed my order.

Excellent experience. Before seating our party of 8 the hostess asked if there were any allergies. Once I was identified the waitress was notified and provided me with a allergen list. Waitress also asked my level of tolerance to ensure to inform the chef Additionally instead of ordering my food via the QR code she personally took my order to ensure my meal was prepared properly. After talking with the chef the waitress came back to inform me that my food would be prepared in a separate location on the kitchen. When my food arrived it was “flagged” with signs indicating it was gluten free meal. I was told this was to ensure whoever handled my plates were aware of the gluten restrictions. Food was properly cooked to order and delicious. I highly recommend.

In addition to allowing me to place my order via the QR code, she personally took my order to ensure my meal was prepared correctly. After speaking with the chef, the waitress returned to let me know that my food would be prepared in a separate area of the kitchen. When my meal arrived, it was marked to indicate that it was gluten-free. I was also advised to ensure that anyone handling my plates was aware of the gluten restriction. The food was cooked perfectly to order and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!
