Armandos - Houston

My tacos were average at best, though I do enjoy this restaurant. Yep t has a great upscale vibe. Not the restaurants fault but there was an obnoxiously loud table with a couple of cacklers next to where we were originally seated. I could not hear my date over their indifferent behavior. Yes, I think they should have a good time but it moved well into rude. The host was able to move us after a bit of thought.

We are regulars at Armando’s . Several weeks ago, we placed a reservation for a particular table in the bar area. We did this because we had guests from out of town. The restaurant contacted us several times to confirm. When we arrived, the table was occupied. Staff classes the occupants were there for several hours and refused to leave. We were seated in a less desirable area. At the end of the meal, management claimed that those folks had been customers for thirty years. At Armando’s privilege trumps commitment to customers.

Jorge was a great server he was courteous helpful and efficient!

I have consistently had exceptional experiences at Armando's, but this time I rated it 4 stars because of the noise level. It was quite loud, mostly because of the younger crowd (aged 20-30) dining there. Thursdays are apparently dance nights, so the atmosphere was livelier than usual. My tip: Avoid going on Thursdays if you want to have a conversation with your dining companions.

The food and drinks were excellent, with nothing to complain about.
