Bamboo China Cafe - Houston

This place really declined in 2022. The service is terrible. You'd get a quicker response from a blind mouse (which they might actually have scurrying around) than from the waitstaff. I placed an order, and after waiting 45 minutes, the server informed me that I wouldn't be receiving it because she forgot to put it in. Additionally, dealing with roaches is a constant struggle; honestly, I prefer enjoying my meal without having to fight for it.

I've been eating here for years now! I'd say this is probably the second best Chinese restaurant in all of Houston, but the one with the better service! Everything I have ever tried here has been really good! I've done the Mongolian dishes, the scheshuan style dishes, the chicken and broccoli, the beef and broccoli, the shrimp and broccoli, their lo mein is the best, their house fried rice is the best! They have lunch portions that are huge before 4 pm! The only complaint that I have is that lunch special cabbage egg roll! It's nothing to write home about! But they do have different egg rolls on the menu, so that saves them! I love this place! I just wish that it was bigger! It's always so packed! And it's a small restaurant in a plaza!

It was great. Haven't had Chinese food so delicious and fresh since I was in China town in San Jose, CA. Can't believe I found such a great restaurant on this side of town. The Clay pots are great and the tea was good too.

I got orange chicken and it was extremely delicious even though they added plenty of sauce. The chicken was still very crispy. Shrimp fried rice was very fresh and delicious.

They lack attention to service while dining in, but food is always hot and fresh. Decently priced for their big portions. Lunch menu is the best for price and amount of food. A gem in this neighborhood full of fast food chains.
