This place is cozy. It's narrow with bench and chair seating upstairs and downstairs. The low lighting may make it difficult for some to easily read the menu. The food is easily good overall, but I'd skip the artisan bread board. I found the fritters greasy and the other offerings fairly bland. The chicken milanese was delicious and the garlic green beans were outstanding. The roasted poblano soup was enjoyable and I loved the jalapeño cocktail. I've been a few times and will continue to go back.
Food just isn't good unfortunately. Lacks seasoning and ultimately flavor is off. I had the steak and egg breakfast. I instantly regretted and wished I had got the cheaper breakfast tacos. Visited on 12/10/2023
Excellent search! We enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks!! We started with Spinat Artichoke, very tasty. Our waitress recommended a wonderful margarita, very smooth with just the perfect kick! I had to order another round. Halibut Tacos were delicious and met the place. I'd definitely visit again. Thank you.
If you are looking for a great experience in downtown Houston, don't look further. The food was absolutely delicious on every count. Honestly, I don't think the burger might have been cooked closer to perfection. The old fashion was one of the best I know. The decor is beautiful and has its own unique flare that really helps to stand apart from all other city center. And of course the service was excellent. The staff is fast, attentive, friendly and generally very polite. We'll be back.
