I also had their bun bo hue that I feel is different from other bun bo hue places. the broth is very citrusy and the meat is not the usual cut beef, it comes raw as in Pho. interesting concept but not for me, I would only return for the bo ne!
This place is highly recommended Amazing food, good seating and great atmosphere! This place begins my favorite and love here to eat at any time in the area. The Bo Ne is so amazing I love to eat these at any time of the day!! Try it out, you will love it!! 12/10
Pretty good. We ordered spring rolls, ice coffee and Pho (Flanksteak). Everything was tasteful. Coffee was right. Strong and not excessively sweet. Service was great. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. We have learned that they have a different location in sugarland and are opened in Richmond TX. We will definitely visit these places.
We came for their colorful thit nuong (pork vermicelli bowl). It was really not disappointed. For the low price of $9.99, we each have a massive bowl with lots of pigs in it. The sauce that comes with it has no strong fish sauce taste (but I wish it did). The pig is small thin sliced pieces and well mixed with the rest of the bowl. I'd come back to get that bowl. We also ordered Vietnamese ice cream coffee. The polystyrene cup in which he came was usually filled with ice, but the coffee was good. The service here is meh. The waiter didn't come around the round table to take over the order. Instead, the waiter had all our order screamed over the table and when the food came out, the waiter had no idea whose plate was. But for this type of restaurants you are not really here for the service anyway. You pay at the desk when you're ready to eat.
Wow just unbelievable that this place has such high ratings! With that said, it 's highly unlikely I 'll ever come back!! I 'm usually the type to give 2nd chances and try it again for myself but my first experience was awful. Bo Ne... this was the most unsatisfactory meal we 've ever had. It was nowhere close to being the best nor good like everyone claimed it to be. The steak cubes were horribly tough. Overcooked and under seasoned. The eggs were okay. Can 't really mess up eggs.. haha but the sauce that was drenched in all of that was not good. It was just super sweet but lacks salt? It just doesn 't do it for me. I had to add extra soy sauce and some sriracha just to make it a little more enjoyable for my bf. And man, don 't even get me started with the pate/butter combo. Butter tasted just like regular mayo but add yellow food coloring.. it was not the typical Vietnamese butter. And the pate wasn 't creamy or tasty. It was just very cottage cheese looking. Grainy tasting even. And the wimpy little salad that came with it? What 's the point? The dressing overpowered everything. Literally drenched. Very disappointing. And by the way, everyone kept reviewing that their bread was super warm, crispy crunchy and flaky. Well that 's a whole bunch of bull. It definitely wasn 't fresh for sure. The bread wasn 't even toasted! Ugh
