I mean, only from the smell I could say that the tortillas were made in the house. The place is definitely not restaurant size, was a mini shop, but perhaps became restaurant. Tables are limited so you need to wait to get an open table and you need to wait for food. They had a waitress, although it's small, that's not enough help. She was great and we weren't in a hurry. The food was good. I love my mother's menu item, but this one has a solid 8/10. It is in a newly built stripe and is the only unit rented, so parking is all their really. In any case, be over and patient. Once you're done, go to the checkout window and ring the bell. It could take a second to see you.
I was initially a bit confused because it’s situated in a converted convenience store, but the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They serve both green and red salsa with your meal, and both are outstanding— I just wish I had more food to use it with! I will definitely return to explore more of the menu, but the Gorditas are fantastic and come out piping hot, so be careful not to dive in too quickly!
Maybe some of the best Mexican foods in Houston. This is her new location, moved by Shepherd. Larger and cleaner rooms. Great place for breakfast tacos! Handmade tortillas in the restaurant. The green sauce beats. The thick chips and in the house made salsa blows. If you're in the area, make yourself a solid and try it out.
I’m blown away by how amazing this place is! This is now our go-to spot for sopes, fajitas, tortillas, and breakfast. The food is so good that after the first bite, you find yourself wondering, "What did I just eat?!" They have an extensive menu, and the salsa is made with care and is incredibly authentic. The restaurant is spotless—very, very clean. I really appreciated the service, and the owner was present, which added to the experience. The authenticity of the food is top-notch. I immediately ordered takeout for my family at home because we’ve found our new favorite place. You absolutely have to try it for yourself! Here’s what I ordered from top to bottom: Fajita Sope (without cheese), Breakfast Taco with egg and potato, and Fajita Taco with cilantro and corn onion.
Have not had a bad meal here! I am glad they relocated and opened up with a space with more parking. Sadly I missed them before they moved but glad I found them. They have takeout and dining. I can always go for a good torta or tacos and you can find that here. The tortillas are handmade, which makes all the difference.
