Shinwari - Houston

I had the Shinwari plate, which included lamb tikka and hydro goat biryani, and I have to say this place is fantastic! Originally an Afghan restaurant, it transformed into a water-themed venue but kept both kitchens open, maintaining the original chef's expertise. The customer service was excellent, and the food was simply delicious. The Chapli Kebab in the Shinwari platter was incredibly juicy and flavorful—I'll definitely order a whole batch of them next time! The naans were amazing as well—soft and perfectly chewy. I even enjoyed them the next day after warming them up in the microwave!

I traveled to Houston from the East Coast, where I had been on the hunt for genuine Peshawari chapli kabab for three years without any luck. I was thrilled to finally find authentic chapli kabab at Shinwari! Plus, it was incredibly affordable. I can't wait to come back to Houston for more!

This restaurant is the perfect spot for authentic Afghan cuisine. My favorites are the Chapli Kebab, Karahi, and especially the Yahani.

This place embodies Afghani hospitality. We were warmly welcomed by the staff when we entered and looked after them. Chapli kababab (best I had in the USA, and I traveled a LOT!, chicken karahi and kabuli pulao. Food was amazing, no questions. Chicken soup was very refreshing. Green tea was also good. Overall, this was a great experience. Recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality food in Houston. Want to come back! In addition, the staff is very professional, friendly and friendly.

Wow! Shinwari has one of the best Hyderabadi Haleem and goat biryani we have tried! Loved visiting and trying their unique fusion dishes (mostly Indo pak that we tried) made by their Hyderabadi chef along with some Afghan dishes! Also the service and hospitality were amazing! They also have a weekend buffet and Afghani items available as well! Chicken and goat biryani: authentic hyderabadi traditional flavor with hyderabadi mirchi ka salan Red Chicken curry and naan was really flavorful, Rumali roti was super soft and melts in your mouth Chicken 65 and naan: spicy fried chicken appetizer definitely amazing?
