However, during my most recent visit the new guy running the truck at the Shell location was extremely rude and rushed my order. I had to return it and get a refund. Was a loyal customer but won’t be going there anymore.Food: 1/5
If you love taco trucks, Don Julian's is definitely worth the trip. The flavors are bold and flavorful, with consistent quality throughout the menu. Whether you're craving chicharron, pastor, or nopales, you'll be eager to return for more.
The food at this restaurant is amazing and the service is good and bilingual. I was extremely happy and found my favorite taco truck. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5.
I don't see why this restaurant consistently receives high ratings. The staff is friendly and professional, which is why they are receiving 2 stars, but the food is terrible. I ordered a beef taco, a chicken taco, and a sausage taco, all of which were dry and tasteless; in fact, they all tasted the same. I recommend trying Molcajetes a few blocks north on Bayshore instead. The food there is truly fantastic.
Our family loves places like this, small and cozy family owned and authentic. No tex-mex here. Soft tacos or quesadillas are the main menu items with a good variety of meats. We thought the steak and chicken ones were the best. Service was great even though they were very busy. Family friendly value as their prices are good. Parking can be tight, so anticipate that when you go. Husband says we will come back again. Yes, it is that good.
