This place was a hidden gem, tucked away in a Westheimer strip mall. The atmosphere is immaculate, intimate and cozy. It feels like a blend of upscale atmosphere with casual clientele. We showed up without a reservation. luckily it wasn't too busy so we got a seat right away. Servers were very attentive throughout the dinner. The onigiri is cheaper than HEB and way better. Ume is an acquired taste, but I love it and they delivered. The chirashi and sashimi were very high quality and melted in my mouth. The curry was also a standout. It was filling without feeling too heavy. We'll definitely be back to try the omakase :

Delicious food. I highly recommend 2 servings of Karubi Amiyaki for an appetizer. That was awesome. Also, the Shitake Ebizume was good, too.

Small and cozy family-run restaurant serves some of the best Japanese food Houston has to offer. They are particularly busy at weekends, so plan accordingly.
