Tia Maria's - Houston

Good Mexican food. Nice crew and clean place. Recommended

Let me first say that I've been to this restaurant before. Tonite the drinks were Ice Cold, the food was hot n Delicious and the atmosphere was extra special because the place has several large screen TVs that showed the Astros baseball game and everyone was thrilled. Unfortunately, the service tonite was a bit inconspicuous. Not to order our food or bring it to us as soon as it was ready, but if we wanted to order more drinks and go containers. We had to ask another waiter who wasn't ours to come and see this person. It seems a bit trivial, but one expects a good service that I received at previous visits!

The service was warm and welcoming. The interior is quite spacious. The food is tasty, and the prices are more affordable than most Mexican restaurants.

What a delightful experience! I had never visited Tia Maria's until last week when I caught up with an old friend for lunch. The restaurant was bustling with activity, yet the staff remained impressively quick and friendly. Our chips, drinks, and food arrived promptly, and everything was delicious. The only time we had to wait was when we tried to pay the bill, but it wasn’t that long at all. If you see a packed parking lot, don’t drive away—go inside and enjoy some of the best Tex-Mex food in the area!

The service was terrible. They seemed understaffed. The mango margarita was good but the food was less than mediocre. The stuffed jalapeño had a hair in it. 20% gratuity was already added to bill. When we added more gratuity, the server saw it and said ?you didn?t like the service?? So ungrateful. Will never go back.
