Additionally, half of the buffet stations weren't staffed consistently, which made service for drinks slow. The selection on the buffet was very limited considering the $68 per person price tag. We hadn't dined here since the remodel when it was a white tablecloth restaurant, and we're saddened to see the standards have dropped since then. Given the abundance of excellent restaurants in the area, we won't be returning.
The ambiance is always fantastic, and the live music was spot on. However, the food was not prepared correctly. Dishes that were meant to be hot were either cold or undercooked. The chicken had a pink hue and left me with an upset stomach.
VIP New Year’s Eve Dinner and Gala Review: The five-course dinner was absolutely delicious—hats off to the chef! The gala had a lively atmosphere with a warm mix of friendly and courteous guests. Waitstaff circulated throughout the night with an array of hors d'oeuvres, while bartenders treated patrons to seven complimentary drinks from various sponsors. The DJ kept the energy high with non-stop club-style music. Overall, it was a fantastic New Year's Eve celebration at this iconic boutique hotel and gourmet restaurant in Houston!
Good food and great service. Highly recommend the lox bagel.
Sad there was no live music as had been indicated on the website Food was excellent
