Came here for a Sunday lunch, and love the decor I saw when I stepped into the restaurant.I ordered the soup bao (xiao long bao), crispy bottom bao, chicken fried rice, beef flat noodle, and amazing fish. There were six soup baos in one order. The soup bao’s skin was quite thick but there was sufficient soup in the dumpling. The flavor was good. The crispy bottom bao’s skin was very thick. Though the flavor of the meat inside the bao was ok, the skin was dry and thick thus it was difficult to finish even one. The chicken fried rice didn’t have much flavor but the chicken was cooked right. The beef in the beef flat noodle was a little tough, and there was no flavor in the beef. The flat noodle was oily and lacked flavor. The best dish out of the dishes I ordered was the amazing fish. It was fried to perfection, and the spice level was perfect. It was a good dish.Though the food was so-so, my server was thoughtful and friendly. I appreciate the good service.
Excellent food! Comfortable surroundings that they’ve done a great job insulating from the west sun. We had dan dan noodles, bao, veggie dumplings, chicken dumplings and broccoli beef. Our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs but everything was so tasty we stuffed ourselves and still had 3 boxes to take home. This is one of those places I’ll need to obsess over for a couple of weeks so I can eat my favors and still try new stuff. It was slow getting noticed when we sat down even though there was plenty of staff and not a full dining room. Lots of take out orders though.
Oh. My. GOD. The food is AMAZING. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place! The taste of the food was perfect. I have no words to describe it. Portions were hefty, great taste, and just an overall amazing experience. The milk teas were great. Green tea one was not too earthy, but not too sweet. The strawberry one reminded me of strawberry syrup or Nesquik with milk.Just FYI, you can get any waiter’s attention when you need something. You aren’t assigned to just one waiter as they all share the tips.
On a Friday at 7pm there was no wait. After that people started to wait.We had the chicken fried dumplings (12 pcs) that were amazing, the pork bao (3pcs) that the bao was a little thick, the chicken and shrimp shy mai that was good and the beef flat noodles that I really recommend. The only thing about the place is that it was a little bit noisy.
