Sabes Bar - Huanchaco

We've been looking for a decent pizza here in Huanchaco for two months. Tonight we found it at SABES? The question mark is because its sign is a huge question mark. They are specialized in pizza and it shows. They opened the door at 7 p.m., which is late for North Americans, but our pizza was on our table within 15 minutes. We had the Continental Pizza. All toppings were fresh. Onions, paprika, paprika, bacon and mushrooms. Sauce and crust were perfect. The second floor overlooking the sea. We are here a few months and will definitely return to Sabes weekly.

When you enter the place, it looks good, but the ground floor is not really everything. In fact, in all my visits, I only saw two people there. The second floor is a balcony with tables and a pool table. It is overlooking the beach... and at night makes a beautiful scene. The drinks are not bad, but the pizzas are pretty good.

Actually very surprised by the pizza, I would say it was one of the best I definitely had in Peru. The actual place is really nice with a great view of the sea and the staff was very helpful. The pizza itself costs the same...(if not cheaper) as some Italian places, but overall, taste really great. There is also an excellent selection of drinks and happy hour for those interested.

Visited Sabes a few times during our stay in Huanchaco, and both times we ate on the upper balcony. We all enjoyed the pizzas and the children loved the two dogs who lived in the restaurant. The owners are a Peruvian/UK pair, and the clientele was a mixture of locals and foreigners.
