Excellent appetizers, eating and service. loves the location and the atmosphere. all employees are very outgoing and helpful.
The nativity and the redisserie chicken were phenomenal. the main rib was perfectly diced and cooked and the Rotisserie chicken was juicy and had a great smokey taste. the children's meals are quite expensive, big taste and good size portions. I can't wait to return.
Went out for date night. Ordered the tenderloin salad with the steak prepared rare… I stressed RARE to the server as the salad is the only thing I like on the menu and no matter what, the steak always comes prepared incorrectly (not the server’s fault). Of course the steak on the salad was not rare.. it was medium at best and most of it was well done. Small flat pieces of “tenderloin.” Again, not the server’s fault. I waited for the kitchen to prepare another piece of steak, and while this steak was rare, it was the most unseasoned, unflavored piece of chewy “tenderloin” I’ve ever had. I literally spit out more pieces of chewy steak than I was able to swallow. It was disgusting. The salad itself is delightful, but the kitchen chooses to use low quality pieces of “tenderloin” for the salad that are inedible and also does not know how to prepare a nice steak. So disappointing. We try over and over to give Pier 500 a chance, and are always disappointed. Pier is supposed to be a high end restaurant, people expect more. Do better please.
The service we received from Ethan at the table was impressive. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided recommendations that were spot on. We are not from here, so we tried the parm crusted walleye and my husband had the spicier salmon. Both were amazing! Then to end the evening we had the deconstructed banana cream pie that was unusual but delicious!
