Pretty disappointed all around. The room for 1 was the size of a thumbprint. 7 of us had breakfast there. It took a whole hour for the wrong food to arrive. They served sausage instead of bacon on all plates. The over medium eggs were burnt (couldn’t believe it was served). And the front desk, not friendly at all. Good location but I felt it is WAY overpriced for what I got.
I met friends there for lunch. Very nice staff. The lunch was very good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I'd definitely go back.
I won’t be back. The restaurant service was accommodating but the granola was rancid, the bread was burnt to a crisp and the manager was rude and dismissive. This is the place to go if you want to feel like you’re in the city.
Re tavern: food was really delicious, special and creative. Oyster mushrooms were amazing as were pork ribs with five-spice were tasty, tender and not smothered in anything, though it was accompanied by a nice peanut sauce. Only thing that I can ding are the high prices of alcoholic beverages.Re hotel: rooms are comfy and quiet with lovely bathrooms. Whole place very tastefully decorated in mid-century style.Recommend both tavern and hotel. Hudson itself is kind of a mystery though. We used it as a launchpad for hiking and biking, so we were kind of out of place with all the New Yorkers in their stylish garb, shopping for antiques, art and clothing.
