We ate in the restaurant (not the fast food area) twice in a week, once in the sun on the terrace taking in the fantastic view. We had the tapas sharing plate and café gourmand which were both fantastic and the staff were friendly and...service good. We went back on the Wednesday for a slow long lunch, sitting indoors as the weather wasn't as good. We reserved a table by the window about an hour before our meal and the staff were friendly and helpful (same staff as previously, didn't get names but 1 male and 1 female, both fantastic). My husband had the steak, which was cooked just as ordered and presented beautifully. I had the chicken which again was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. We shared a cheese board, then the chocolate tart. All beautiful, only slight grumble was that I told it was a chocolate tart and it was praline, which I don't like but that is probably down to my lack of French and my husband gladly finished it. Thank you for looking after us and adding to our lovely holiday. PS. The dogs are great
Food was superb BUT although waiter repeated ‘Burger Rossini’ when we ordered my husband got a normal burger. No apology from the waiter. Had to ask for carafe of water 3 times! Asked for the bill it never arrived so I went and paid...inside. For an expensive lunch the service was seriously lacking. And on top of this just as our meal arrived the lady at the table right beside us downwind lit up a second cigarette we did attempt to get her to stop or move away while we were eating, to no avail. Also don’t go if you don’t like a dog running free in and around the tables and at times begging at table height. A pity as these few things will prevent us returning for a quality menu and food.
Burger joint with a decent menu with out amazing. the chips were really nice and crispy. a big thing we had here was that the card machine didn't work, so it was just a card. it was the only place where we went on our vacation. where there was no table service that we found a little annoying.
Great food and good attention to ingredients. we liked most of all the highest poulet and the burgers. for children the menu is good (as always a bit expensive as everywhere in alpe d’huez), pasta bolognese have a great taste, but the pasta carbonara is disappointing....Great view. a must reserve for lunch. great service.
