This the place to be for home cooked food!!! First time there and it was delicious! I tried their chicken and dumplings and man it?s way better than Cracker Barrel?s. My friend did the fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms and she said it was good. Thecornbread was moist and falling apart. I loved everything about it! The tea was also good! Friendly staff and a cute environmentrestaurant. I highly recommend and I?ll definitely be back!

I'm sure it's fine if you eat there, but don't order to go. My coworker and I ordered Chicken fried chicken with cream gravy. They asked me twice over the phone about the gravy, then proceeded to give me 2 orders with no gravy at all. Very sad plates!When I called the lady said I could either leave work again to come correct their mistake, or have a free drink next time???!!!Sorry, there won't be a next time.

Take a slow walk down Main Street in the small town of Humble, just outside of Houston on Highway 59 and you?ll find an old school diner called Humble city Café. If the small town feeling and ability to park on the street right in front of the cafédoesn?t set your mind at ease, then take a step inside. It?s a throwback of nostalgia, souvenirs and Americana and that?s justthe lobby. oddly enough, when you sit down to eat, the table is provided a complimentary pan of cornbread with creamy honeybutter as a appetizer while you wait. The menu is broad and deep, mostly old country favorites are served. you will find chickenand dumplings, greens, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and other assortments of old favorites. In addition to salads. Alltold, it can be a pleasant dining experience.

Comfort food in a very welcoming atmosphere. Good portions and great service. Food was a little bland, needed salt and pepper to kick it up a notch. Overall pleasant dining experience.

First time trying this place, I definitely recommend. As soon as we walked in we were acknowledge and took us to a table. Waitress was very helpful and our drinks were never running low. Coffee and water Food was served nice and hot, and the tastewas just right. Bacon extra crispy too
