While the service was attentive, informative, and (questionable on the genuineness) friendly, there was a feeling of confusion and chaos among the roles of the staff. We appreciated the energy in the service, but found it a bit pushy, taking a little away from a relaxed dining experience. Both of our entrees (Spaghetti alla Checca and Pollo Marsala) were attractive in appearance, generous in portions, however lacked the the savory flavors we desired there was a disappointing sweetness in both of our dishes. Cute place but the dishes, sadly, do not have us longing to return.
I had to try this place because one of my buddies said that he loves it. I'll start with the bread. Not sure if this was normal but the first basket was crunchy almost like croutons. The waiter, who was really nice brought a second basket (I think he noticed that is was crunchy) and the second was a little better. However, it did seem like sliced store bought bread. Our main was the Mona Lisa Rigatoni. I thought the sauce was really good but the meatballs had to be frozen. They seemed a bit rubbery and I swear they tasted like the bagged meatballs from Trader Joe's. 3.5 stars It is much nicer now that it's bigger.
Some of the best Italian food in Huntington Beach. The portion was perfect and our server, Rodney, was so helpful. Definitely coming back!
Good so good, I went for the special of the day shrimp scampi... yum My son got pizza and loved it Nice ambiance with instrument music, romantic melody. Service is 5 stars Drink. Not so much to choose from for the cocktail but lots of wine selection
