A friend of mine called up and asked if I wanted to go with him, so we went to this little Mexican place in Jägerton From outside you would never have known that this place existed. There is no shield on the outside except what you can see in the windows. It is a real authentic little Mexican joint with eight tables inside and two outside. There is no air conditioning on the inside, but it was a perfect day, so we sat outside. I had three chicken teeth. I really had great taste and we're enough for lunch. My friend had two chicken tacos a steak taco and something else that had sausages in it. My three tacos and Snapple were $13. I thought it was a big price for lunch and would definitely come back. The lady inside couldn't have been nicer. Very friendly.
As soon as I came in, the aroma of “delicious” met my senses! I was immediately greeted by the owner who could not have been more friendly. My order was finished earlier than quoted and was hot and fresh! This facility does not waste any energy on ruffles – its unprecedented, but you can say that they love in the food they expose. Prices are fair I would even say cheap, especially given the high quality and fresh AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine they cook. I HIGHLY recommend the Chimichangas meal. It's honestly the best Mexican food I've had since I moved to NY!
I've been here since YEAR. It is a place for lunch and an occasional dinner on the cheap. The owner is the NICEST type, is proud of his restaurant. It's always clean, otherwise I wouldn't eat here. The food is stick-to-your-bones mexican that will take you all day. Very recommended! Update: I've been here for 25 years. I love the food and my vegetarian wife. They make their vegetarian burritos and guacamole, of which they can not get enough.
We are a family of Mexican food fanatics and were to countless restaurants coast to coast. Los Compadres has always been one of our favorite Mexican restaurants where we were and is the hands below the best and most authentic on Long Island. We have been eating there since the opening that was probably about 25 years ago, and it has remained outstanding from the very beginning and still belongs to the same family.
Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant on Long Island! The food is fresh, authentic and delicious! The owner is the nicest man... he makes you feel like you're a guest in his own home. This place is small but absolutely worth a try. You're going to love it!!!
