You might also want to order some chips and salsa. However, I wouldn't recommend dining here. The patio area is quite small, with only about 3 or 4 tables available.
I ordered the quesadilla Mexicano, which was one of the rare dishes that featured both steak and shrimp. It was absolutely delicious! I believe they’ve upgraded their chips, as they were fantastic, and the salsa was also excellent. And, of course, the top-shelf margaritas are the best around!
We visited this cozy two-story restaurant near Taco Mama for happy hour and had a fantastic experience. Their house margarita during happy hour is about $5 and is worth every penny—it's fresh and doesn’t taste like the typical margarita mix. I ordered the mega quesadilla with chicken, which was also part of the happy hour menu. Next time, I might opt for the beef or shrimp option; the chicken was delicious but a tad too moist for my liking. My fiancé chose the tacos (also on happy hour), having two chicken and two beef. The beef tacos were particularly flavorful and had a nice kick to them! We also tried the guacamole, which was simple yet exactly what we were looking for. Our waitress was friendly and the service was impressively quick. Overall, this is a charming spot for a quick and tasty meal at a great price, especially during happy hour. I personally think it’s a better choice for food than Taco Mama.
Be aware that they charge TOP SHELF for cheap frozen margaritas. Would be nice if this was posted somewhere. No one uses TOP SHELF for frozen!!!
I get the feeling this is more of a bar, less of a restaurant. We hopped in for lunch and ehhh...I wasn't feeling it. Service was good and promptly got us our soda and tea (note: Pepsi only, boo), chips, and salsa. The salsa was good, the chips tasted stale. From there...things just went further downhill. My trio of enchiladas were nearly inedible--one was literally a cheese enchilada with cheese dip on top and it was so hard, it was impossible to cut into or chew--particularly with my wonky fork. Their red sauce was overwhelmingly sweet and ketchupy tasting. The chicken/verde one was passable. Rice and beans were fine. Better half got a burrito, also didn't dig the red sauce, and we were on our way. Prices are a bit high but consider the locale, parking is impossible (but you know that if you're there), and the food is just meh. There's a Taco Mama nearby. Go there.
