Mayflower Donuts And Bakery

My mother wanted to visit the fair on the square, but we struggled to find parking and ended up in the Mayflower parking lot. There was one open handicap spot, which my mother qualifies for, so instead of taking it, I asked the woman at the counter if we could use it. She refused, stating that the spot was reserved for customers. I explained that my mother has difficulty walking, but she still wouldn’t allow us to park there. Given that the donut shop was empty and many other designated spots were taken, I didn't understand the issue. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to this place.

The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean, and the cookies, croissants, and kolaches were amazing! The chicken salad was delicious, and they offered great deals too!

The restaurant is conveniently located near the main street downtown and the University area of Huntsville. The establishment has a charming old-fashioned feel as you enter. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which is a great plus! They offer a variety of treats including donuts, cookies, cupcakes, cakes, bread, and breakfast sandwiches. I tried their cupcakes and absolutely loved the soft, moist texture and subtly sweet flavor. When I visited with a friend close to lunchtime, there weren't many items available, so I might consider coming in earlier next time to explore more of their offerings.
