Best spring rolls and wonton soup that I've had. Ao fresh and tasty. Definitely will go back. The soup had so many different flavours and the wonton was juicy and fresh. Service was quick and friendly. A great experience for my first meal out in the area
Like noodles is an ideal restaurant for a perfect session of enjoying some Shanghai signature noodles. Personally, I had been there numerous times, once for dinner and most of the time lounging around during lunch. The dishes ordered for dinner were all scrumptious however the noodles had won this round. (For a must try, order the meatball noodles. Although on the other hand, the atmosphere and ambience was appalling. There was head-splitting chatter and deafening laughter coming from a nearby table. During that time I was at dinner with my family and I couldn't even have a 2 minute conversation with them when all I could hear was roaring chatter. The service was alright except for once when an extremely rude waiter came with our food and then spilt the bowl of noodles soup onto the table. What then was worse was, he didn't even bother to clean help clean it. This made me very irritated but overall like noodles displays great mouth-watering food.
Like Noodle has become a staple for my husband and I, the food is consistently fresh and delicious! Our go-to dish is the 'Shanghai famous noodle soup with stir-fried pork, potato and tofu in hot spicy paste '. The hand made noodles have a lovely texture, the 'spicy ' is not too overpowering and you can really taste the garlic and ginger in the soup. Last night we also tried the 'Shanghai famous duck in special soy sauce ' and the 'wild vegetable and pork won ton ' and we chose the sesame sauce option. The duck was very meaty and the sauce was so much nicer than the standard over-sweet hoisin you get from other restaurants. The won tons were very delicate, not too porky and the freshness of the coriander and cucumber that was sprinkled over the top went perfectly with the nutty sesame sauce. For less than $40 for the two of us (including tea and soft drinks , we always leave very happy and full :
Good noodles, a variety of other food. The food is good, the service is ok. Our favourite noodle place in Hurstville. Good chinese breakfast options too. One of our regular pitstops.
