It's fantastic to have this Texas BBQ legend in the area, eliminating the need to travel to the original location. I ordered a two-meat combination with sausage and brisket, accompanied by sides of potato salad and mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! The brisket was incredibly tender and even included a burnt end. The sauce complemented both meats perfectly. I could have eaten more, but the portion size was just right. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Sausage, brisket, and sides! Wow! I absolutely love this place. I first started going to the original location in Elgin 30 years ago as a child. I was initially a bit put off by the disposable plates, but I chose to embrace the old-school approach and enjoyed my meal from butcher paper instead!

The building is beautiful, and the washbasin is conveniently located in the main area. The service was quick, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the large chopped brisket baked potato.

I loved eating. Brisket sandwich with meat so delicate that it melted in my mouth. No sauce required because the smoke ring was perfect and needs all taste breezes. Really good pinto beans, and dry lawn Slave without Chaos Mayonnaise running Slav. One of the best in ATX range.

Great place for a lone diner. You can order a smaller plate, 1/4 lb brisket, two sides, and iced tea. Perfect. The peach cobbler is good but I'll wait for the blackberry. Not sure what to order, get their daily special. The dining atmosphere is comfortable. The tall tables near the windows let you look outside or watch the crowd. I tend to go on weekdays, I don't know what the weekend crowd is like. I imagine it can get busy. There's seating outside with umbrellas for shade. Maybe in the evening...
