All customersâ phones buzzed with the National weather service tornado warning in Hyannis. There was no announcement from management about what to do or if there was a plan. I will follow up with the chain to understand protocol. While no tornado touched down, I wonder if we were in Oklahoma, management would have announced an evacuation?
Hadnât been to Joeâs in a while. I remember the menu being a bit more varied than the one I saw tonight. Found my meal to be a bit pedestrian. I ordered the almond crusted baked salmon expecting almonds, sliced and toasted or even ground and toasted. Instead I got almond dust which didnât have much flavor. The salmon was extremely thin, Not like one would normally expect. The almond rice was OK, and the chard broccoli was blah. I remember Joeâs being a lot more inventive and a lot more flavorful.
The service had some issues, but overall it was good.
The food was excellent and the service from the host to our server was exceptional. The only drawback is that I preferred the old ambiance, which had a cozy feel compared to the current contemporary atmosphere. However, this won't stop me from returning. I especially enjoyed the food and variety of menu options.
Itâs a nice spot to get together for a casual event. We didnât get an engaging server, but others helped pick up the slack to ensure proper service. Plenty of food and drink options high-end and others. Iâll definitely go back again.
