I had an amazing time Singing and Dancing all in the rain. The food and drinks were good. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable! I had an amazing time at the home of the Washington Commanders. Rest in Peace Sean Taylor! XOXO
Came here for the Beyonce concert this stadium is decent as far as stadiums go (we were in Section 337, slight obstruction but less so if you're in rows 1 5, and the stage views are slightly angled but still great), but not at all conveniently located and the traffic was an absolute nightmare. We stayed at the nearby Residence Inn and even though it was a 2 mile walk because the pedestrian route is roundabout, it was worth it. Would highly recommend not driving or taking shuttles if attending events here (not sure about football games, but certainly for concerts). The typical stadium bag policy applies (small, clear bag), so make sure to check the latest before arrival, but we were also hassled at the gate for larger clear bags (even though the dimensions are permitted per the policy) as well as portable electric fans (not forbidden in the policy), so make sure you know what the latest policy says! They shouldn't be able to just make up the rules at the gate.
Beyonce concert Saturday August 5th. Note to self bring your own fan...it is hot (the first floor) when you enter in the arena..I felt like I was camping in Hades. I used a nacho carton as a poor man's fan. I bought a pretzel and a drink because I knew that's the only thing I'll be eating here. The only bad thing is This venue I don't believe truly accommodates people that are handicapped. When I got up to section 427 I thought about the stairs to my seat and wondered how would somebody get up here to see the show. They need a disclaimer regarding clear bags. The website they say you can bring a clear bed that is 12x6x12. My BTS bag is 12x6x12. When I got there they said you can't bring that in here. I have used that bag attending the Washington arena, Air Canada center, Barclays arena, sofi stadium, and Madison square garden. I was in section 427 row 10. Not a bad seat and it didn't break the bank either. The acoustics were good. Late start time... It was supposed to start at 8:00 but truly it started at 9:00 pm. The Lexus lounge was amazing I received a bracelet You got to go into the lounge and get free food and drinks. There was a bunch of interactive entertainment available.. that you could partake in before the concert starts. It was an amazing show jaw dropping... But the nightmare began when it was time to leave. 2 hours it took to get out of FedEx Field. I got home at 2:45 a.m.. parking lot was chaos lines everywhere and no organization... No one around to direct or help. There were so many people walking around at 1:00 in the morning still trying to find their car. I truly believe that I won't attend this event again if another artist comes into DC. Really truly don't want to deal with the hassle when it's time to leave. I never had that issue with any of the concerts I've attended in New York, Canada, or California.Update: Not only did I get to see an amazing show but I also got COVID August 8th for the 1st time. I have asthma so people please be careful when attending these concerts in indoors arenas or outdoors arenas.
Drop off parking was a hassle, clear signage could help. The concert was great in the venue but leaving was a nightmare with only one exit open. An unsafe approach to managing large crowds leaving the venue all at once. RideShare lots were not clearly marked causing confusion for drivers and attendees.
I went to see Beyoncé yesterday, she did great. The only thing was that I was on far end so I couldn’t see the screen which was very inconvenient. But over all it was a good concert.
