Contribuisci feedbackThis little buzzing Chinese restaurant in the back alley of Nanking is a hidden gem <br/ <br/ Basically is a backdoor for Nanking, known by very few loyal customers, sweet interiors and food from the shared kitchen gives you the same experience.<br/ <br/ Found it few years ago when Nanking was full and we had to search for an alternate place.<br/ <br/ Now coming to the review: absolute good old Chinese food, all time favourites fried noodels, drum sticks and ginger chicken, decent service on a busy day have to wait at least for 20-25 mins for your food to arrive.<br/ <br/ Though a lot of new Nanking outlets have opened across the city.. this stays to be truly authentic.<br/ <br/ Seen a slight decline in flavours since last few years but hoping they'll come back to glory.
Nice cozy place. Service and food is excellent. Never too crowded. Chicken drumsticks and chilli prawns are delicious. Value for money. Portions are very generous.
This restaurant is probably a branch of Nanking situated nearby. From the tissues, cutleries to menu everything is same at both the places. Prices are bit on the higher side. Since I visited at a late lunch hour and they were about to close, it was totally empty and they were not so willing to take orders. I chose Nanking special dry chicken which was probably already made (since it was served pretty quick). It tasted good. Well I could order only this dish since they were reluctant to take orders so late and I was terribly hungry to wander for another eatery.
This is one restaurant that is located in a residential lane near Parklane that will not be in view of anyone visiting the area the first time and mostly recommended when Nanking has no seats to offer immediately. Finding parking space maybe sometimes a challenge which is understandable considering it's residential yet commercial surroundings.<br/ <br/ This said, the food quality and quantity is similar to that of Nanking. The ambience is pretty peaceful to have quality conversation over food. My mum swears by the Pork noodles served here with it's meat to noodles ratio definitely higher when compared to that of chicken or prawns. Service swings from being excellent to sometimes average. Weekdays are the best as there isn't jostling for space.
This place is an extension of Nanking and is situated right behind Nanking. The ambience is good. Expect waiting on weekends but on weekdays there is not much crowd. Similar to nanking chicken drumsticks is a must have. Soups are great especially chicken corn soup. All the starters and main course are good. Pork is available too.
