Giasemi - Hydra island Ελλάδα

This place... . The only sad thing is we found it in our last night on Hydra. The atmosphere and music was beautiful and relaxing. The food was amazing! There was only one dish we didnt like out of the 11 dishes we ordered and that was personal taste not quality. The lovely lady who served us grew up with the owner on Hydra. She was so friendly, genuine and enthusiastic. Thank you for a great last meal on Hydra. From the Cunningham, Atkin and Nunn families.

It's the end of February so we didn't expect a great deal of options in terms of dinning. However, the options are very limited in the town, generally giro, pasta or pizza...... very little Greek food. Then we found Giasemi, superb Greek food, excellent atmosphere and very attentive host. We feel like we won the lottery to be able to be seated for dinner in this quaint gem! We did not have a reservation but Martina managed to squeeze us in for a quick dinner after arriving. We ordered eggplant dip, boiled greens, feta/spinach lasagna, and baked lemon chicken. We literally licked our plates clean and promptly made a reservation for the next night for dinner again. As the end of our meal approached, I saw people starting to flood in the door (during off season). Again lucky and satisfied!

From the comments I expected something more. The raw materials are good. Eggplants with red sauce, etc., the special thing. Saganaki shrimps 4 Shrimps for 17 euros and taste ok. Maybe in the summer they have another cook or we didn't ask for the right dishes. The woman who served us was very sweet. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
