La salinoise - Hyères

Ate here with a local so had a distinct advantage, however, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The Patron cooks the food and he uses fresh local ingredients where possible and takes pride in what he presents to his customers.Local shrimp as a starter and fresh Sea Bass (sustainably farmed) are a rare treat and were beautifully cooked. Easy to miss as it is tucked away but worth searching out and staying a while. Merci a tous for la repais superb!

We went to this restaurant based on all the great reviews posted on this site. Upon arrival, we greeted by the very friendly staff. After a long and detailed discussion on the menu, we ordered very specific dishes. The food arrived quickly, but 2 of the 4 main dishes (the most expensive ones!!) were the opposite of what we ordered. The food in general was far below expectations. No discounts given for messed up order.
