In tourist hotspots like the south of France one often wants to eat out but not do the full-on cuisine thing. Le Glacier de la Tour offers just that easeful and quite rare opportunity. Its location is in the main square of the old town, so to find it there is very welcome. I had the croque Poilâne parisien (11 Euros) and to my shame had no idea how chic such a thing was until I Googled the name later. The toasted, greyish bread was indeed tasty and soaked up the juices of the dish nicely. A treat. One course, one drink and coffee for two was 27 Euros. Before and after our snack, we wandered in the Parc St Bernard: very lovely terraced beds and paths offering shade and lovely views.
Visit this very day, impeccable reception smiling, pleasant nothing to say. Duck duck cannelonnie has come with its excellent salads nothing to say more just correct price, tasty meals bravo!
