Subway - Hythe

I really enjoy this truck stop. It's one of the most affordable places I've ever visited, and the interior is very clean and bright. You can often find many Eastern European trucks and drivers here, likely due to its location near the autobahn to Dover, which I think relates to customs clearance. Nevertheless, it's open to the public, and everyone is welcome to use it.

We visited to celebrate our return to Europe due to an event. The customs staff were friendly and helpful, but we had to wait quite a while for coffee and to use the restrooms.

The prices are fairly high, but there are many options to choose from. The restrooms were clean. In the area, you'll find several shops including WHSmith, Subway, The Reel Fish and Chip Company, Pitstop, and West Cornwall Food Co. We enjoyed a great deal at West Cornwall Food Co, which included a £3.25 speckrolle and hot drinks. It was a good price and very tasty!

The restaurant provides two hours of complimentary parking, with the option to extend your stay for £25 for 24 hours. If you make a purchase of £29 or more, you'll receive a £5 credit that can be used at dining establishments such as KFC and Subway. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which has a reliable connection, particularly near the building. Additionally, there are free restrooms and showers available, but be sure to bring your parking ticket and truck keys.

I stopped by this service station on my way to Dover to pick up my new kitten. The parking lot is spacious and offers free parking for two hours. The restrooms are large and impeccably clean. We enjoyed breakfast at the West Cornwall Food Company, where I had a delicious bacon roll and a hot drink for just £3.75—great value! Other shops include Pitstop, Subway, WH Smith, and a few independent retailers. Overall, it's a lovely place to take a break.
