I and my wife came there at 7.25 and my parents came there at 7.30. They took our order at 7.50, so we waited 20 minutes from the beginning. Me and my wife ordered soup and second course. My parents second course and Dessert. We also ordered wine. The wine came at 8.05. They brought us the soup, together with the second course for my parents, at 8.25. An hour had passed since we came. We finished our first courses at 8.45. Another 15 minutes took until they came to take our dishes, and another 10 until they brought us the last courses. I must mention that, all the time, no one mentions nothing to be late. I once asked if they were overcrowded as they told us at the beginning that they had not much space. They told us they had a lot of delivery orders. But no excuses. In the end we had to pass even more for check-in. I asked them why they didn't warn us from the beginning that they were so late. Your apology was that there were customers who came after that were made the reservation, but before we came so that they had priority. On the way out we saw a large table with 10 or 12 young people who looked very well dressed like rich people. They weren't there when they arrived. They were loud and they looked like they were familiar with the place. Although the food was very good and also expensive enough, it was our first and last time we came here. We strongly recommend it.
A table for 15 people on the second floor. When we arrived there, we were moved on the ground floor. On the second floor, the owner with some girls wants to have intimacy... the place offered was very small. Of course, only one waiter... who ran all the time, first course (preordered!! a few days in advance) will come after... 60 minutes! Food average. Hospitality ZERO! Never come back!
In October 2015 i went to what will probably become my annual trip to the city of Iasi. My first trip to the city of Iasi was in 2014, when i had some cold weather during my stay and i spent the weekend at an...average hotel, now you can picture in your mind what expectations i had when i left home. I will skip to the point where i arrived at the destination, my mostly trusty Waze app took me straight to the location and after parking the vehicle on a street near the hotel, me and my companion took the luggage and entered the location. The place was packed and people were having pizza, pasta and wine in the dining place. Because i love food, i basically took a sneak peek in some people's plates to see if the food was good looking in case i ever wanted to eat there. The smell of pizza was nice and since i am a big pizza fan, i was keen to give it a try. We got the room key and headed upstairs (the passage upstairs was a bit tight if i recall, so better make 2 trips if you have tons of baggage; i did not because i am caveman) to leave the luggage and freshen up a bit, because after the quite long trip, me and my companion wanted to head downstairs and have a drink. But before that i must say a few things about the room, because i am reviewing a hotel here: it was huge, clean and the bathroom was awesome; towels were clean, we had bath stuff we could use and it was warm inside (keep in mind it was October and although the weather was perfect that weekend, it was no summer). The only thing that the room was lacking, was the wi-fi signal, that was... let's say poor. However since i had plenty of data on my plan, and since i honestly didn't spend that much time inside the room, i wasn't upset by the lack of internet. I was however thrilled to have great sleep and chargers by the bed !!! Maybe the blanket was a bit narrow, but everybody says i have the sleeping technique of a burrito, and therefor others may cope well with not becoming a rolled up worm while sleeping Now back to getting that drink: the waiters were pretty ok, not the best but not the worse either, they brought us the drinks quite fast and the prices were probably the high point of this place. The next day we had breakfast in the dinner because it was included in the price of the room and again everything was good, we asked for soft eggs and they delivered. Also toast was great and if i recall they had whole grain bread as well. Coffee not bad either. At lunch we had another drink that was promptly delivered by the staff and after a nap, got back to the dinner and had the pizza I've been dreaming of since my arrival and it was great, i loved it: juicy, thick, lots of topping on it, very cheap and probably one of the top 5 pizzas i ever had. I know this might be a bit of a skimpy review of a place, but you have to keep in mind that my time spent there was in between long walks and strolls in the beautiful city of Iasi, and i only got the accommodation to shower, sleep and have breakfast. However the moments i spent there were quite alright, and even thou it is probably not the perfect place in the world (i kind of doubt that perfection is located in Romania), both me and my companion would come back and spend a few days here again, because overall, we were more than thrilled about the prices, room, services and pizza. Sure, they could get an extender for the wi-fi signal, but for me it will not matter and will not make me like the place more.
Last time when I was at Casa Lavric Restaurant, 3 years ago, I found a beautiful place with very good food and services. Today (19 July 2014), I was there with some friends and I was very disappointed. The meal was a mixture between overcooked...and uncooked! The service was worst than average and the place it was uncleand.
Since the restaurant was taken a few months ago, I visited several times and we got great food. The service was okay. The owner is cook and has Italian roots for his selection. To recommend and forget all old reviews. This has nothing to do with old owners.
