Finca Sommerwind - Ibarra

This camp was great. we were accommodated in a comfortable holiday home with a great view of the lake. in the garden you will find avocados, limettes, fiks, mandarins or even a coffee machine. there is a horse called texas, so make sure to give him a apple and a hug because he is super friendly. if they are more adventurous, they will appreciate what they can get there. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful place, Hans is super friendly and a wealth of information. Showers are hot and clean, potable water available and the wifi is strong. Lovely location too, couldn't fault this place it's a beacon of light.

We had a great time at Finca Sommerwind. Hans is a super nice and helpful host and the place is a must for any overlander in south america. Not to forget the great curry wurst that is served in the Biergarten.

Lovely place, the owner is a really good person and it is one of the few camper sites in all Ecuador.

A hidden gem. If you look for a place to do camping, or to stay in a tiny house, or a cabin, or if you have a RV/Car camping setup, this is the place. I wanted to camp but they didn’t have the equipment for rental. Bring your own camping equipment. I stayed in the tiny house for 1 night. Cost me $65. Got two beds, and really comfortable. For camping or RV they got 110/220V. They also have a German restaurant, really good place for relaxing with your family. Also got a place for BBQ. Highly recommend.
