The weekends are busy days at the waterfall so if you’ll prefer a calmer, more quiet experience, it would be best to visit during week days. A wonderful tourist site. You can appreciate the beauty of nature with the different levels of Waterfalls (7 levels) and rock climbing to each level. You will surely want to tick this place in your list of places you would love to visit. I would have loved if the place has a spot for sale of traditional food to add to the tourist attraction.
The Erin-Ijesha Waterfall, also known as Olumirin Waterfall, is a natural wonder located in Erin-Ijesha, a town in Osun State, Nigeria. The waterfall is made up of seven layers of cascading waterfalls, which create a stunning display of water falling. To access the waterfall, visitors must trek through a forested area and climb over 200 steps to reach the top. Along the way, they will encounter various viewing points that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. At the top of the waterfall, visitors can swim in the natural pools, relax by the water, or have a picnic in the designated picnic area. The gate fee to access the area is a 1000 naira as at when visited. There are people there telling the stories about the waterfall and there is a big space safe enough for cars and buses.
I have heard a lot about Erin Ijesa waterfall but I was actually stuned by the wonders of mother nature when I visited. It 's a lovely place for nature lovers, serene environment and a place with fresh air. The whispering waterfall is cold and refreshing to the body. The Waterfall is housed in an environment with magnificent scape; with beauty that greets upon arrival. We were welcomed by drummers. It has seven cascades. In a search for the source of the water in company of other tourists we spent almost an hour climbing upwards with tree stumps as support. After the climb we relaxed by the soothing water splash; the sound and flow of the torrent water is refreshing and relaxing. It is preferable to come along with Hiking shoes, change of clothes for people who want to enjoy the water at the base. Though this place got seven cascades, we were able to get to the fourth, 'cos the other floors are breathe tasking. Btw: Make sure you have lots of time. To enjoy this place, you shouldn’t be in a hurry.
A natural tourist site. Emphasis on the word Natural. It could be so much better if it finds l some investment and governmental Goodwill. But I digress. The mountain is massive. But there are stairs to climb it up to a point. After that it's just pure hiking. Climbing rocks to get to higher ground. The waterfalls are so beautiful. They can be seen on multiple levels and that's nice The water hits you with so much force if you're under it. I heard someone describe it as Strong as a massage. All in all, a fun experience. Just wish they'd make more safety oriented decisions and choices
