Additionally, there was no internet in the restaurant, so I had to step outside to take a screenshot of my confirmation. When I returned to show them that I had indeed made a reservation, the staff said that they had booked it through OpenTable and that those reservations don’t come through in their system. It seems this isn’t the first time this has occurred. Eventually, they found a table for us, even though they initially claimed we didn't have a reservation. Someone really needs to address this issue.
We visit quite often, but this time it was extremely busy (on Sunday evening) and we, along with other guests, had to wait an hour for our meal. I hope this was just an isolated incident because we truly enjoy dining here.
When we arrived, there was no record of our reservation. The customer service that followed was not impressive, even after I showed them the confirmation from OpenTable. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, and then it took an additional hour and 20 minutes to get our main course after our starter. The food was decent, but we arrived at 7:30 and didn’t finish eating until 11:00 PM. It was extremely disappointing.
Every busy night and waiting time for her eating was long, starter of mushroom in cheese was nice second cure came, we were asked if we needed something we had after salt and pepper after 5min of our dinner sat before us and no waiter in ourselves we began to eat our steaks which was cooked on the rare side when we had asked about medium-blooded
Yes I would recommend the Rose and Crown but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use Open table to book the table. The pub had no recognition of our booking and had never heard of Opentable. Thankfully they managed to accommodate ya at very short notice!
