The only retreat was that the break festival was only served up to 9, which is okay if you are primarily businessmen in your hotel, but not for tourists, but they were flexible, and the buffet (which was good) opened longer on our request.
I visited the restaurant with my husband as a treat during a very long journey from France to Hungary. It was a bit confusing when we had to drive past an unmanned reception (for the hotel) to find an employee. A young lady wearing a beautiful Bavarian dress almost attacked with us and asked if we need help. We were on the back door terrace. Nobody seemed inside. The terrace is surrounded by greenery and many birds sing away. A sculpture of rocks and water adds to the relaxing feeling. The young lady was very attentive and immediately took orders for drinks and left us with two rather heavy menus. She returned very quickly with both drinks. A short time later she came back to take our food order. The food was simple, excellent. Perfectly cooked and well presented. I had a few sausages with three little rustis. Hubby had pork carving with chips (and Mayo). The food prices were very cheap with my sausage to €8 and nave wood at €14. This restaurant could easily win all five points with only two small changes. One: those who have read my other reviews will know that I have limited mobility. To cart courtyard is connected on a few different levels, all by stairs. The only way to reach the terrace with a wheelchair is to reach the outside of the building. Two: The restaurant is next to a campsite and a caravanning. There were cars from many different countries. I know that I was deep in Germany and that the local language is German (with a strong Bavarian accent), but some of the local specialties (we had to go Google muzzles) muted Hubby, who has lived several times in Germany and knows more than enough of the language to come by. Even if there was a description in French or English below, it would help.
Food is good and up to earth, but not excellent. Fish could have fried less dry, meat less deep. The atmosphere is traditional with a touch of the 80s not tourist bavarian. We walked by when we were on the road and were satisfied, not yet excessive... excited.
Wer eine etwas gehobene deutsche Küche sucht, der ist hier richtig. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Genießen Sie das Ambiente im Außenbereich.
