Victoria's Country Diner - Illinois

Great food, service from a family owned restaurant. Tenderloins are fabulous. We get them when we dine-in and as carry-outs.

Nice little home town type restaurant. Lots of choices on the menu, and staff was pretty friendly and attentive to things like refills, ect. Prices were pretty decent and inline with other restaurants. I had a half a tenderloin and that thing was huge for just a half. Great food all around with our group. Would recommend checking them out.

As my search for the famed BPT (breaded pork tenderloin sandwich) continued, I was informed of Victoria's Country Diner in Lacon IL. I looked it up and was well within my travel radius so I had to make a trip. The drive was nice and quiet with it being a 50/50 split between country roads and highway. This place was disgusting and I did not want to sit down. The whole restaurant needs a good cleaning from top to bottom. The chicken strips were not good and held a lot of fryer grease. The people were really the only good aspect. We were promptly served and the service was as expected or better.
