$2 Taco Tuesday is worth it! We enjoyed the al pastor, carnitas and carne asada most. The chicken soup was different from what I had earlier. It contained red peppers, yellow squash, zucchini, corn, chicken and tortilla chip strips in a clear/red broth. Needed salt and tasted much better once I added something. I wouldn't get it again, but it was worth trying.
What happens if you find a restaurant that makes good food? You eat a lot there! I've eaten here for the last three weeks and tried everything. I would say this restaurant is in the Top 5 in San Diego for Mexican food together with all those who want here. My favorite thing is the Pulled Pork Fries by far and the TJ Taco is on Tuesday for 1.50 is a steal. Update: Your breakfast Burritos are some of the worst I had. They were quite tasteless and the potatoes were on the raw side. The cheese seems to be on the processed side, which is disappointing. I'm not sure, but I can't take a star because everything else is great! Update Part 2: You still have live music! I live directly opposite and they always have a band. You can't be mad at people because you call orders and pick them up. Many people do. It looks dead! You're lucky normally there's a line to order and get food. There are great unguaranteed low reviews and I'm not sure why.
I ordered Chicken Chipotle Fries and boy they were bomb! The service was fast and I received an excellent amount and quality of food. The chicken was at a perfect cooking temperature that made the chicken tender. These were the best chicken pomers I've ever had. I recommend these about the buffalo chickens fries on wings and things. 5/5 Abel
Loved this place! It looks small from the outside but once you step in you realize there’s plenty of sitting area. The decorations are very rustic and give you a sense of walking into an old Mexican Hacienda. They have wood carved chairs and tables, and Mexican artwork on the walls. The food was very economical and the service was great. I will definitely come back soon!!!
