Buffalo Wild Wings - Independence

The waitress we had during our last two visits was fantastic! She was kind and ensured that our order was correct. However, the atmosphere was quite unpleasant due to some guests who were extremely loud, rude, and intoxicated. It seemed like they either worked there or were acquainted with the staff, as they were frequently getting drinks from the station. This continued even after I requested to be moved because of the disruption caused by their behavior.

I would give this restaurant no stars. The service was far from satisfactory. I can’t understand how a place could be short-staffed on a weekend, with only two cooks available. The communication among the staff was poor as well. We weren’t given any recommendations, and the wait time was excessive. After waiting an hour, we were told to expect another 30-minute wait. Frustrated, we decided to leave, especially since we were still waiting for food that never arrived. Although our server did their best, they shouldn’t have to juggle so many responsibilities on their own. I never saw a manager during our visit, and if I had, we likely would have left earlier. What started as a wonderful day—traveling to Kansas City, spending time with friends, and enjoying a great competition—ended up ruining our mood completely because of our experience at this restaurant.

We really love this place, but our recent experiences have been disappointing. The food comes out cold and takes ages to arrive. The last few times we visited, we had to wait a long time to get a table. On one occasion, there was a table for 14 people available, but the staff member told us we had to be put on a waiting list because she was the only one working. We’ve decided we will not return to this Buffalo Wild Wings location.

Best experience we?ve ever had at BWW. We had Tim as our server and I?m assuming he was a manager because he showed the best leadership I?ve seen in a restaurant since before COVID began. He gave us AMAZING service and on top of taking care of us when it clearly wasn?t his job, he was helping the entire team with their tables and making sure they had everything they needed. Watching true leadership was a breath of fresh air. The place was clearly understaffed, but instead of making us wait, he dropped what he was doing and took care of us. We?ve been here several times and never left a review until now. Both of us came from the restaurant world and if we could give Tim 10 stars, we would. Hands down, best service we?ve ever had!!!
