The Kitty Kat Klub - Independence

The black-out drunk female OWNER of THE KITTY KAT KLUB threw a beer pint at the back of my head while I was walking out of the bar with my back turned. Hit me hard enough from 10 feet away to daze me at nearly 6ft 210lbs. Broke a lot of cartilage in my ear and gave me a concussion. Then, as I turn around, she proceeds to charge at and chase me through the parking lot to my car with a shard of the broken mug threatening to cut, slice, and gut me. I had already watched her previously assault 2 patrons (who, at the time, I thought had been troublemakers, apparently not) within 20 minutes of being there. Shortly after, the friend I was meeting showed up. We had come from a business dinner so we were both very much over dressed for this particular bar, but, it had never been a problem the numerous other times I had come in. I am very polite and well spoken, always; it 's just how I was raised. I order my friend a drink on my tab, as well as a second for myself from said owner. Its when she brought them to us that her attitude changed, as if we weren 't welcome there, but brushed it off politely. Midway through my second (2) drink, i step outside to smoke. That 's when I look over and hear her telling the bouncer that I 've been causing trouble all night and they need to get me out of here . I say, politely once again, M 'am, why would you say that? I 've done nothing at all but speak quietly with my friend in the back of the bar, while tipping you well. Her: You know what you did (slurring words) I say, politely, ok m 'am. If that 's how you feel, no worries, Ill cash out and take my business elsewhere. She loses it. I proceed inside to retrieve my debit card. The owner follows me back in aggressively. She continues to verbally attack me while I silently sign and tip the bartender not involved 20 percent. As I turn to leave she tells me: You ever come back here again and we 'll slice you up like a fish. ???wth??? I had enough, lost my cool momentarily, turned back around and said F#C* YOU; then turned around and walked out the door while unknowingly being chased by her, pint mug in hand. Charges are currently being filed but as a business owner myself I don 't understand how this person is still in business with that behavior. Insane and disgusting

Absolutely a fantastic little dive bar! Welcoming environment for everybody! The patio is amazing! Jive on Ms Kitty! Love it!

I recently explored the Kitty Kat Club with a few friends and we absolutely loved it. Lori, the owner is an amazing, outgoing, fun individual. They have a nice patio that is comfortable rain or shine as I'm a smoker myself. The regulars are very friendly. It is a bit of a dive,but that's what makes it such a fun and cool atmosphere. I will be back!!
