Wow this was a great experience! We stopped in around 10am to see if we could get some food. The restaurant wasn’t open but they offered to open it to make us some egg sandwiches. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful historic, the owners spent 10 years restoring the building which was originally built in 1890s. The scenery is gorgeous. Would highly recommend this restaurant! I love this spot! Incredible scenery surrounds this historic hotel and restaurant. I have tried three different dishes from the restaurant (wild mushroom and goat cheese flat bread, rib eye steak, and the country farm salad). All three were bursting with flavor and were beautifully presented. The staff is kind, and the little bar in the back is fun! Rooms: 5

Not sure about the hotel, but we tried the restaurant. The steak was really tasty and well prepared, but the only sides available were some potatoes. They were luke warm, shriveled from to long on the warmer, and terribly salty. No greens, no vegetables at all. Not even an option to order sides. Just a plate with substandard potatoes and a good steak. Similarly my wife's chicken was tasty, but it came with nothing but rice. It's now 3 hours past our meal and I'm having to make food. Not what I expect when paying good money for a meal. We did ask about vegatables and were invited to purchase a salad, an entre in itself. Normally we can eat for a family of four on the price of this meal, and we'd have had vegatables.

The food was delicous. I loved the rum sauce with the lavender rice, herbs and chicken! The wine went well too! Some vegetables would have been good with the mains, my companion was still a bit hungry when we got home but he could have ordered a salad the waiter said. The historic hotel looks beautiful and I would love to stay over. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Came in for dinner after a day of climbing. We ordered steaks, salmon, chicken, a burger, and deserts and all were excellent. Good selection of beer and it was cold. Staff was super friendly. Would definitely return next time we're in the area. Service: 5 Location: 5
