Vue Grille - INDIAN WELLS

We had lunch with some discerning family members from LA, and everyone was pleased with the elegant atmosphere, stunning desert view, and attentive service, not to mention the delicious food. The menu offered a variety of options that catered to all tastes, and the prices were reasonable given the location. I look forward to returning.

The food was mediocre, perhaps only 2-3 stars. The menu felt outdated and the presentation was unremarkable. With a group of five adults, we sampled several dishes but found them disappointing. The $50 steak was a low-quality, choice cut. However, the service was truly abysmal. Our waitress only took our order after we had been seated for 15 minutes and had to flag her down. We then waited an hour for our food to arrive, during which time the waitress was virtually absent. When we managed to get her attention again, she simply said, "It's on its way." We considered leaving, but with two young kids who were extremely restless waiting for chicken nuggets and fries, we stayed put. To make matters worse, there were no apologies offered, nor any attempt to make amends, such as providing a complimentary dessert. On top of it all, a mandatory 20% gratuity was added, even though the service was appalling, and this was not disclosed when we received the check, which took another 20 minutes to arrive. Having waited tables for 10 years, I understand the challenges that come with the job and rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warranted one. I hope they can learn from it.

I tried the Waugh burger and it was delicious! However, I wouldn't recommend the ribs, as they don't come on the bone. The service was quite slow, but aside from that, everything else was good.

I've eaten here twice. Neither experience was particularly good but this last one ended my visits for the future. If you sit on the balcony the view is very nice, but the wind is generally so strong that unless it's a hot day people don't sit out there. Ican't tell you how many people have been warned off by the staff only to go outside to try it and then go back inside. Theinside tables are cheap square bland things with no tablecloth like you might find in an IHOP. We ordered and then waited foralmost exactly an hour. My waffle with berries was $19 and the waffle was small, cold, and there were no more than half a dozenberries with a tablespoon of English cream on top. It was terrible.

Best Sunday Brunch in the Coachella Valley. The view at The VUE is superior. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Indian Wells CA, overlooking the Indian Wells Golf Resort. The food is amazing. Highly recommended! Super staffmakes everyone feel welcome.
