1947 Eatery Lounge - Indianapolis

The Indian cuisine here is truly fantastic! The dishes are served à la carte, and the staff is eager to describe the various types of rice and naan available. They also provide excellent explanations of the ingredients in each dish.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would definitely visit again! The staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere was fascinating.

We were seated right away, but our server didn’t acknowledge us until 5 to 10 minutes after the table next to us was seated. This made us feel less welcome. The food was average, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

This is the very best Indian restaurant we have been to in quite a while! Service is excellent, food is excellent, ambiance is excellent. We loved dinner so much that we returned several days later for lunch. Divine! Also fabulous leftovers are great to enjoy at home to keep the smiles continuing even longer.

This is a truly hidden gem. Best Indian food I have ever had. I got the idea it was super authentic. A food writer told us about this place. It is located on the back side of a mall building. When we arrived I was sure it was an error u til we drove around where I thought a lad ind dock would be located. Many of the dishes I had never heard of and we eat Indian food regularly. I would recommend mild or medium spice level. I thought the medium was perfect. A good burn while being able to taste the other spices as well. It’s a large place, beautifully decorated. I am only sorry I didn’t try this place earlier
