Coal Yard Coffee - Indianapolis

Really great coffee shop. They have a great mix of drinks but even better is the atmosphere. They have plenty of room to spread out in a cozy chair or at a table if you are working on a project. The staff is great and doesn't make you feel in a hurry. The art also adds to the ambiance. I highly recommend anyone to check it out!

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love this place. Besides java, they serve tea, hot chocolate, and smoothies to quench your thirst. Even more importantly, though, they serve up warmth and conversation. Coal Yard Coffee has the best vibe. It's a friendly place where you feel like you're among friends even if you're coming here for the first time. Where else can you go for jazz with your dog? Yes, it's pet friendly, and you can't say that for Starbucks. I love the rotating art on the walls, too.

This is a gem of a place and I am a proud coffee snob now and won’t drink other coffee. Try the witches brew! Love the staff too!

What an interesting, eclectic place to grab a drink, sit down and relax. Full of art and nightly entertainment. If you are a musician looking for a relaxed, great open- mic, this is your place.

Fantastic semi-secret coffee garage with a vibrant atmosphere. Not a bad word to say, aside from crossing my fingers for later hours. The décor is wholly artistic, the live music tonight was inspired, and the coffee and tea is just what you need it to be every time. The baristas are wonderful and friendly, having a real knack for great brew. Never disappointing. Lovely casual coffee spot.
