Salt On Mass - Indianapolis

This restaurant offers an excellent selection of appetizers. We tried the artichoke crawfish pots and crab-stuffed mushroom caps, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed the flavorful lamb chops. The shrimp and grits were just average. Our server was polite and attentive, and she suggested some great cocktails. The overall atmosphere was very pleasant. I would rate this restaurant as one of the best seafood spots in Indianapolis.

The hostess was very welcoming and our waiter, Brandon, was super nice as well! We got seated as soon as we walked in so that was pretty nice! I came here for a friend?s birthday although we had been before, it had been so long that it was refreshing to return. The atmosphere is nice, and the music always has me dancing from my seat haha. Photo 1: Crispy Point Judith Calamari I love me some calamari and this was scrumdidliumptious!! It was fried to perfection and the seasoning was A1 Photo 2: House Baked Skillet Bread: This was a great selection! The butter and bread were delicious. Photo 3: The Salt and Smokey I really loved this drink. Everything about it was delicious from the smell to the flavor to the smokiness! Photo 4: Sazerac Great drink, i understand why it?s served in such a small glass lol Photo 5: Shrimp and Scallops Very delicious meal. Cooked well. The risotto was made well. Not too runny, but not too clumpy. It was the right consistency. The shrimp and scallops were great, but the sauce definitely holds it all together. The sauce isn?t spicy and doesn?t take away from the flavor of the rest of the meal! Photo 6: Lamb Lollipops This was decent. The ?lollipops? were a little tough and over cooked. The lamb was cooked well done when it should have been cooked to medium in order for it to fall off the bones. This did come with mashed potatoes and the mixing of all the juices really added some flavor to them! The food was GREAT. The drinks were GREAT. The server was the BEST!!!! He made the experience so wonderful. Check this place out. We will be going again.

Modern, clean, attractive atmosphere, not busy late dinner on a Tuesday but probably crowded on a Saturday. Macie was pleasant, knowledgeable, and charming as well as being a capable bartender. Staff interactions all seemed relaxed and cordial. The lobster bisque left me craving more (almost ordered it for dessert). The pan seared Ahi was fresh and perfectly cooked served with a perfectly spicy ? chili citrus ? sauce and properly grilled asparagus. Dessert of coffee and Key lime chiffon cake was beautifully presented but lacking a sufficient tartness.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was even more impressive. Brandon was fantastic and consistently checked on us throughout our visit. I couldn't recommend another restaurant more highly!
