We went to the restaurant today (Sunday) and Google Maps and the website said it was open. We got there and it was definitely closed. Really wanted to try the food. I guess it's either closed permanently or needs to update its hours.
Wow! What an incredible little gem! I'm visiting from Maryland, my cousin was visiting from California, and we chose this spot since my cousin saw them on the Food Network. Five stars for service. The owners are both very, very nice and attentive. They made us feel right at home and ensured we had everything we needed. Rarely do I receive service that amazing anywhere even at the most upscale restaurants. The food was good! I give it. 4 out of 5. The wings had a nice smokiness to them, which I really appreciated. We tried all of the wings except buffalo. They were all good our least favorite was the jerk wings. The sandwich was also good I can't remember the name of it, but it was like a chicken Philly. My cousin and I agreed that it was good, but it was missing something a sauce specifically so we used the dipping sauces they gave us and those helped!Overall, this is a cute little spot. They have TVs and projectors and also play music (which can be a little loud if you're sitting right in the back by the speaker). But we loved it! Highly recommend.
I can 't say enough great things about our experience. I 'm a huge Great Food Truck Race fan and I loved these guys on the show. I saw they were from my home town, so I knew I had to give them a try when I came to visit. I 'm in town this weekend for a funeral, unfortunately, but this was a perfect chance to check them out! My cousin and I headed in and were seated immediately. We asked for some recommendations and made our decisions. What really stood out was the service. The co owner (Mark, I believe) checked on us repeatedly. He made sure drinks were topped off, that we were enjoying our food, that the music was the right volume, and so much more. He almost bordered on harassment but in a good way LOL! Then the other owner Terry (who was on the show) arrived. They are total opposites lol! He is full of energy, and when his brother told him I was a fan of the show, he yelled I heard somebody is looking for me! Then he ran to my table and said come on man let 's take a picture! He turned up the music and the party got started. I know I haven 't gotten to the food yet, but the biggest complaint about many restaurants is the service. The Block is the example of what they all should aspire to be! Now, the food was absolutely delicious. The wings are smoked so it gives them a great flavor beneath the sauce. Some were better than others though, so here 's my ratings: Chicken Philly sandwich 4.5 out of 5Thai chilly wings 5 out of 5Garlic Parmesan wings 4.5 out of 5 (could have used a touch more garlic)BBQ wings 4.5 out of 5 (a little too sweet)Jerk wings 3.5 out of 5 pretty good but could have used a touch more heat, less sweetness, and actually a little less sauce. They were coveredBread pudding 4.5 out of 5 great flavor, loved the texture of the nuts and edges of the bread pudding. It was a lot of the Grand Marnier sauce, which overpowered the middle bites. Once I scraped some off and spread it to the edges it was perfect. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I 've had in a long time. Great food and amazing service! If you 're in town, I highly recommend you check them out!
We made a reservation a month prior to going for an event we were in town for and they had the whole place booked and kicked us out and told us that we can’t eat there. I would highly recommend not eating or ordering at this
