My company booked The Garrison for a two-day conference at a total cost of about $18,000. The venue itself is decent, although slightly outdated. The outside patio, overlooking the golf course, is quite beautiful. However, that is where the positives end. The first day of the conference was marred by several difficulties, including a late breakfast and issues with the sound system setup. We had requested dietary accommodations for vegan and vegetarian options well in advance, but no such options were provided, and staff were unable to confirm allergy information. As a result, those with dietary needs were left with limited options, and one staff member was reprimanded for trying to help. The following day, when attempting to bring in outside food to accommodate those with dietary restrictions, we were rudely told it was not allowed. Instead, we were forced to eat in the parking lot by a staff member named Janet. The Garrison did not apologize for the inconvenience or lack of service, despite being given advanced notice. We were treated poorly and left extremely disappointed. It was a truly shocking experience, and we will not be returning for future conferences.
We celebrated my parents' 60th wedding anniversary at The Garrison. The ballroom was stunning, the food was delicious, and the staff was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this venue for any type of event.
The food was alright, about what you?d expect from there if you have been there before. But the kitchen is extremely slow. So slow it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for one cheeseburger, one breaded tenderloin, and one chef salad. The waitress and the youngman she was training were very apologetic, gave us free drinks and 3 pieces of cheesecake to take with us. They were bothextremely attentive and worked hard to keep the table happy. But any chef(s) that cannot handle 10 people being in therestaurant needs to either retire, quit and go back to whatever bar he was cooking at before, or management needs to step up andmake some adjustments. During the week, businesses all around Ft Ben need places to eat. If you cannot turn a table over in 45minutes, you?ve got much larger issues. Shame too, the weekday buffet was always great but they don?t offer it anymore. So thetwo stars are for the two waiters since they had to be the ones apologizing for the kitchen. The cheesecake was a nice offer butlet?s face it, it?s not homemade and they were probably ready to toss it anyway.
My company annual Christmas celebration took place at this place. very nice and clean. the personal was friendly and professional. eating was also amazing.
