The young man clearing tables and refilling my water was much more enthusiastic. I was surprised that there was a charge for spicy mayo when a couple requested it. The tempura shrimp appeared to be overcooked or possibly even undercooked, which was surprising given the lack of patrons. I used to work here, and every roll used to come with wasabi and ginger. While I understand the desire to minimize waste, the server didn’t offer these condiments, and I had to ask for them. It seems they’re cutting back even more on costs compared to when I was employed there. Also, I hope they've addressed the issue regarding the sushi chefs; they should not be privately contracted, and it is illegal to give them a tax form other than a W-2. For the sake of the chefs, I hope that has been resolved.
My experience was not very pleasant. My friends and I still hadn’t finished eating when our waitress, the one in charge of the bar had already taken us the bill. We felt she was rushing us to leave, I did not liked the service that she gave us, she should be a little more kind to the clients, since we are paying customers. Dragon sushi should make sure that the people they hire are people who can make customers want to come back. We will not be coming back here.
Food is always great and service is prompt and courteous.Food: 5/5
The food was presentable and clean. These dishes are savory to taste.Food: 4/5
Good sushi, terrible service. Slow, lack of knowledge of the menu and sushi in general (we had to ask for wasabi and ginger)...this is a sushi restaurant, right? The server was unfamiliar with the menu, didn 't know if some items were available, and didn 't feel the need to ask the chef. We asked about the types of tuna offered. Server response was the 'red ' type. Empty plates were left to stack up on our table. Also, the server closed our bill before we were done ordering, brought us two bills, initially said the first would have to be paid in cash (kinda fishy no pun intended), and took forever to fix/combine the bills. When you 're paying $100 for two people for dinner, you expect more. Trying hard to like this place, but after three visits, it just keeps getting worse.
