I was here for a family wedding. This is a very well known local restaurant set in an old mansion. The restaurant has definitely been upgraded since the last time I was there, as the buffet was amazing. A very nice spread of different salads, roast beef and chicken options as well as samosas for vegetarians. There was prawns and pastas. A good assortment for different palettes. I was so full from the multiple main courses I didn't even get to the amazing looking desserts, but everyone at the wedding said they were amazing.If you are looking very a very nice restaurant to take out family and friends to this is it. The food is very fresh.

My wife and I frequent this restaurant in this beautiful historic mansion for lunch on the patio in season, and dinner or buffet in one of the quaint dining rooms.The food is excellent and the service is attentive. We have found the buffets of late are a little lacking in variety and quality for the asking price.

We were seating upstairs. Had the scallops drizzled with Maple syrup as an appetizer and they were cooked to perfection. The cauliflour puree with pine nuts just added to the flavours and blended it all together. We opted for the Pecan crusted pork tenderloin which was served with some carrots, green beans, spagetti squash and swish chard also some grains and corn fritters that were so tasty. The red pepper sauce was excellent and such a nice touch with the pecan pork. Had the white chocolate macadamia nut creme brulee one of the best I have every had and the raspberry sorbet finished it off perfectly. Service was excellent.

I remember when we would go to the Elm Hurst Inn Restaurant and if you didn't have a reservation you could not get in. Well not any more. The last several times we have gone including July 1st there was very few patrons. That should tell them something. The quality of the food has gone way down. We opted for the buffet, poor choice. My food was not even warm, poor selection of deserts. Way over priced $24.00 very disappointed. They had pork roast no gravy or applesauce. Lovely grounds and gardens. If we go again I will order off the menu. If that is poor that will be our last visit.
