Whilst travelling to Brisbane I happened upon an absolute Gem in the quaint little town of Inglewood. My truck had broken down for the 4 time that day. I needed a good coffee, as every female would know and the aroma coming up the street suggested I follow my nose.Not only did I find good coffee but I now make a point of stopping here every trip to buy my bread and the cup cakes that are to die for. I once told one of the other drivers of my find and he now does the same. His words best sum up the experience " it takes me back to my childhood".They have an extensive range of baked on site breads, pies, pastries, cakes and savory pastries and I am making it a point to try everything !

Had been tipped off about the Bakery in the main street of Inglewood and thought we would be out of luck at 7am in the morning. Very much in luck, opens by 6am. But what to have. The coffee smelt great so coffees ordered then peruse the food. Every kind of pie, sausage roll, pasty and don't forget the 8 or so variety of croissants. Sat in the old rail carriage and debated about how many cakes etc. we could manage that day and of course don't forget the Bread. A big tick to Daryl at the Motel Inglewood for his suggestion as he didn't do breakfast.

Pies are not pureed filling like others. Taste like straight from grannies oven. The pastries are huge.

Here we are early afternoon on a hot day in a small country town. We need food and a drink. There before us is the Albert Street, Bakery. With some reluctance we enter. We find an excellent range of pies, pasties, sausage rolls, small cakes etc. we place our order and move into a delighful fully air conditioned, spotlessly clean eating area. The young lady serving could not have been more attentive. The food was superb. The prices were unbelievably inexpensive. A truly great country experience.
